Joseph LeDoux

Joseph LeDoux is a neuroscientist and the director of the Emotional Brain Institute at NYU. He is also a professor of psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical School. LeDoux’s previous books include The Emotional Brain, Synaptic Self, and The Deep History of Ourselves. He is the lead singer and songwriter in the rock band, The Amygdaloids.
