Susan Schneider writes about the nature of the self and mind, especially from the vantage point of issues in philosophy, AI, cognitive science, and astrobiology. She is the author of Artificial You: AI and the Future of Your Mind. Before founding the Center for the Future of Mind, AI, and Society at Florida Atlantic University, where she is the William F. Dietrich Distinguished Professor, she held the NASA-Blumberg Chair with NASA and the Distinguished Scholar Chair at the Library of Congress. Her op-eds have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Scientific American, and The Financial Times.
